2025 SEASON
We’re excited to share some fantastic updates for the 2025 netball season, all designed to bring fresh energy to Cessnock Community Netball and grow the game we all love.
Why the Changes?
After reflecting on how we can better support and grow our local competition, we’ve decided to focus on grassroots development. Our goal is to create more opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels to thrive and enjoy netball.
What’s happening in 2025:
🌟 Cessnock Leagues Netball Club:
We’re inviting players of all ages—whether you're part of an existing team or looking to join one—to compete as part of the Cessnock Leagues Netball Club in the Maitland District Netball Association competition. Games will be played on Saturdays during the Winter season. A player dress will be included in the registration cost.
🌟 Twilight Competition:
Thursday evenings will come alive at our Cessnock home courts with our Twilight Competition, featuring Juniors, Juniors Mixed, Senior Mixed, and Senior Women’s divisions. Dates will be announced after court refurbishments.
🌟 Interactive Grassroots Program:
This hands-on program for young players will run alongside our Winter Twilight competition, along with Umpire and Coaching Training programs, to build skills and spark greater interest in netball.
🌟 Come & Try Netball Open Day with the Nettyheads!!!
Thanks to our amazing sponsors at Hunter City Motor Group, we’re kicking off the season with a "Come & Try Netball" Open Day hosted by the Nettyheads.
Saturday, 1st March, at the Vernon Street Courts.
Session 1: 9am - 10:15am, 6-10 years.
Session 2: 10:15am - 11:30am, 11+ yrs.

🌟 Representative Support:
Our Representative Players will continue to support the Association by participating in both or either the Club and Twilight competitions.
🌟 Registrations are now open!!
Be sure to invite your friends and sign up early for what promises to be an incredible season of netball.

More details about the Cessnock Leagues Club Competition and other updates will be shared through our communication channels, primarily social media. This competition is open to all players aged 5 years and up, so it’s a great chance to be part of a vibrant netball community.
